High Tech Combined with Tried and True Automation

Working closely with the customer to understand the product and assembly process, Aladdin Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc. successfully designed this fully automated system that produces Upper Frame sub-assemblies.

This machine processes two Upper Frame SKUs galvanized and e-coated.  The two SKUs are conveyed into the machine randomly and the SKU types need to be tracked while traveling through the system.

Additionally, the two SKUs require varying press parameters via a Promess servo actuator and are later unloaded to separate conveyors.  Vision guided Robots and flexible parts feeders orientate and place dirty oily parts in place of traditional vibratory feeders.

Using tried and true products, Aladdin’s team combined a Camco precision link indexing conveyor, pneumatic pick-n-places along with high tech vision guided Fanuc LR Mate robots, flexible parts feeders, lube logic dispensers, and a Video Jet printer to deliver a robust system.

Keeping the customer’s future expansion plans in mind, this dynamic system was designed with extra space for stations that can be added later.
